Hiking and Life, One in the Same

I was out on a hike the other day by myself and I started to think about how hiking could be compared to life. Here is what I came up with:

Everyone has a similar goal, get to the top (Achieve their goals)

Some trails are easy, some are hard.

Some trails are crowded, some are known by little.

You will pass people on your journey, others will pass you, pay no mind. It is important to remember to continue at your own pace.

Some people will not make it, some will be struggling, encourage these people, help if you can and continue moving forward.

When you reach the top, savor the moment, and enjoy the view. It will not last forever, but it is important to recognize that and take it in while you can.

On your way back down, provide advice to others, and encourage others to strive for the top. Help them get there, as you have been there and you know what it takes.

There will be many uphills, downhills and many flats. You will have to push yourself to the limit at times and other times it will feel like a breeze, but the most important thing to remember is…..

Enjoy the journey.
